I saw it a few months back at Road America. It was a Can-Am car. I don't remember much but something that stuck out was that it had a 8 into 1 exhaust, it was colored red mostly, and that's about it. I know information is scare but I tried to find it but I couldn't(obviously). Oh and here is a video of a 750hp Shadow autocrossing. . .

Shadow baby. Shadow. Research Don Nichols A bit for some amazing ideas. They designed a turbo car that is the grandfather of every prototype engine layout since.

The DN2? Thing never ran right when it was first made although it made a ton of power still. If I remember correctly they had James Hunt driving the non turbo version. . . which actually ran and raced.

The Shadow MK3 was the problem car. That one was way ahead. It never ran right and the number 102 car i confirmed was rebuilt and lately has modern turbo system management. it presently has 1200 hp and 1800 pounds torque. I heard it can make 1700hp at 22 lbs. boost but i cannot find confirmation anywhere.

Here is a MK2 in car that is amazing. the acceleration from 70 to 170 takes 5 seconds.

No no no! I meant the car I "tried" to describe with the words below the video. It was hard to do, as I can't really describe how it looked other than it was a Can-Am car, and that it had a Chevy V8(I think, might have been ford).

sorry i had some phone internet issues. yeah my first post and the response is the good answer. thats a MK2. i included a road course vid of the car. once changed for the next season there was enough change to make it a mk3 later in life....but yes the mk2 is one heck of a car.

The DN4 is my favorite of the Shadow Can Am cars. They sound pretty gawd damn amazing. Not to mention it was keeping up with a Audi R8 LMP1 at the IMS vintage race, whether that was driver related I am not sure.

Um, a lot of Can-Am cars ran Chevy V8s... Post up the video, that will help greatly.

A lot of them ran Chevy V8s, I think nearly all the Mclarens and Lolas did. There were very few that ran Ford V8s, like this little baby!

Yeah im not sure. i accidentally double posted two different replies at first and then tried to correct one and the other seems to have vanished as well. odd. in case its gone permanently, for everyone else, its the MK2 Shadow!

Right. Ford never had a good big block in time for the series to take advantage of it. Especially aluminum, where Chevrolet came in with Reynolds making them. It caused some guys like Dan Gurney to fall way behind in expertise for the series.

It was literally a Chevy and Mclaren show. At least before Porsche showed up. Either way, I can only think of a few particular cars that used Ford V8s, none of the factory Mclarens did, there may have been a few that were in private hands that did.
